ABOUT ME

I want to create applications that benefit society and improve the way we live every day. My research focuses on generative AI for 3D graphics, behavior planning, motion planning, human-robot interaction, augmented reality, and robotics. I currently do R&D at AMD Radeon Technology's Advanced Architecture Group. We are working on Generative AI for 3D graphics. I was a member of Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Center, where my title was A/AI Autonomy Research Engineer Sr. While at the University of Miami’s robotic lab, I researched walk and balance controllers that allow a humanoid robot to perform generic kick motions while walking, feasible methods for robotics systems to forecast the position of a human by fusing sensor data with a probabilistic model, and augmented reality-based human-robot interfaces for robotic systems through a Magic Leap grant. While at NASA Langley Research Center, I developed software for visualization of Cloud-Aerosol Lidar and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observations (CALIPSO), and at Toyota Research Institute, I played a key role in the early phases of ROS2 development where I developed robot autonomy and hardware ROS2 drivers as well as worked on a complete autonomy software stack for the T-TR1 robot. I later worked with Open Robotics to further develop new ROS2 features such as a ROS Client Library for the Cpp language (RCLCPP) executor to enable efficient multi-threaded communication. I was also part of the technical committee for RoboCup@Home league where ROS is the official platform, and I have worked on grasp planning, navigation, behavior planning, manipulation, and human-robot interaction for the Toyota Human Support Robot. I also worked at a game company, Tinybop, in Brooklyn, New York, in which we released two games in a period of one year. I was involved with the architecture of the games and developed high-level game behaviors. The games produced in the Unity Game Engine won many awards including Editor’s Choice Award and Parent’s Choice Award.
